1 x 3 hours and 2 x 2 to 3 hours - Includes clay, glazes and firings
Teacher: Julie Martin
For beginner and intermediate potters (hand building) age 16 to 116 : )
In a small group setting of three or four students, this is a great opportunity to experience pottery making in a friendly and comfortable environment, and a perfect introduction to clay art!
Potters will explore hand building techniques to create their own collection, following the theme of the chosen class.
Planters!: Working with beautiful brown speckled clay, make 3 to 4 small or 2 medium planters - just in time for the warm season!
Botanical imprints: Pick your preferred leaves or flowers to imprint on your plates, small bowls, coasters and/or magnets, then we apply colour, and glaze them. The perfect late summer project!
Breakfast and dessert plates: Make a set of 4 to 6 breakfast plates in this program, taking the time to plan and execute your choice of surface decoration. Sweet!. You can see some examples on our Instagram reels.
Lanterns and Tealights: Just in time for the cold season and Holiday gatherings - we will make some lovely vessels to add a warm and cozy touch to any occasion!
If you are interested in learning how to use the pottery wheel (instead of hand building), please see our 'Pottery Wheel One-on-One' program.
