*Seven-Day Mexico Pottery Retreat REGISTRATION

Our amazing Mexico Pottery Retreat takes place in the city of Merida, capital of the Mexican state of Yucatan. 

We are SUPER excited to announce that Natalie Waddell, amazing ceramic artist, teacher, and judge on the Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down, is joining the fun for our 2025 seven-day retreat!  Natalie will be one of our retreat guests, enjoying the special experience of working with Yucatan clay and the many sweet perks of our 2025 retreat in beautiful Mérida. 

Only 3 rooms left: The 'Family Suite, Main Room' (main house, 1 king bed, desk, ground floor, poolside patio door, shared spacious bathroom with the family suite twin room), The 'Family Suite, Twin Room' (main house, 2 single beds, ground floor, shared spacious bathroom with the one guest in the family suite main room), and the 'Annex, Master Bedroom' (in the lovely 2-bedroom house across the street from main house, 1 queen bed, private bathroom and private terrace, 2nd floor - and full access to main house pool).

Note that the $20 registration fee is to secure your spot(s) in the pottery studio in Merida, and that fee will be deducted from your booking payment.  If the retreat booking is not completed within the five business days following the registration, the registration will be cancelled and the fee will not be refunded.

This seven-day retreat is a unique program for potters of all levels - beginners welcome!  We will enjoy four pottery sessions in a great downtown studio where we will learn how Yucatan clay is made, from stone to workable clay, and learn some Yucatan ancestral handbuilding and surface decoration techniques.  While our clay creations dry and get fired, we will revel in some Yucatan and Merida 'musts', like an excursion to a beautiful cenote and historical hacienda, a market to table cooking class with a local chef, and many outings to local activities and events.  We will also have enough free time to enjoy galleries, museums, shops, restaurants and cafes as we stroll around downtown Merida, for a perfect balance of planned activities and fun and relaxing time.  We will explore the city on foot and walk our 10,000 steps a day for sure, so bring your best walking shoes!
