Our fabulous 2027 Québec City adventure takes place in early August, 2027 - the specific dates will be announced on this page by mid-September at the latest. With a small group of just 6 travellers, this is an intimate and inspiring cultural journey — the perfect summer getaway for creative spirits and potters of all levels - Beginners are welcome too!
Julie Martin, owner of Shaw Street Pottery, is from Québec City and it is with great pride and joy that she hosts this Québec City experience in her hometown. The seven-day program includes three nights in an apartment located above the pottery studio, in Lévis, right across the river and a short 15 minute ferry ride to historic Old Québec. Then for the following four nights, while our works of art dry and get fired, we move and settle in a sweet hotel on the vibrant and popular 'avenue Cartier', in the heart of Québec City's Montcalm neighbourhood, buzzing with locals, less frequented by tourists, and walking distance to the many popular landmarks of beautiful Old Québec. The pottery program is excellent, with three sessions on the pottery wheel, perfect for true beginners up to advanced potters, surface finishing workshops including one sgrafitto and mishima session, and one peacock glazing workshop. We enjoy a guided walking tour of beautiful Old Québec, an evening at 'Les Grands Feux' - Québec City's firework festival, indulge in high tea at the gorgeous Château Frontenac, and experience charming Old Québec with outings to local events, and interesting sites and neighbourhoods. We crown this beautiful stay with a private excursion to the picturesque Île d'Orléans. Breakfast every morning, as well as a light snack and beverage every afternoon. Fantastique!
