The Shaw Street Pottery studio sessions are available to advanced potters only.
Please note that studio sessions will be available every Saturday, starting on April 1st.
Book your 3 hour pottery sessions and enjoy the studio with all its equipment, tools and materials, including the wheel, slab roller, and a wide variety of glaze and underglaze colours. Perfect for advanced and experienced potters in need of a work space! The clay used in the studio sessions is Tucker's smooth white stoneware, cone 6, and included in the price. *Glazing and firings are also included - exclusively for the pieces crafted and completed in the sessions. Limit of four experienced potters at the time in the studio - price is per person.
Please make sure that you are available for the session(s) you are booking as they can not be rescheduled. Also take the time to read our cancellation/refund policy here https://shawstreetpottery.ca/policies/refund-policy
Multiple sessions must be booked to make, trim and/or glaze your ceramic pieces, and booking sessions one week apart is recommended. All fired pieces must be glazed or picked-up within 7 days after being notified that the pieces have been fired.
*If your session is for glazing only (ie pieces not made in the Shaw Street Pottery studio) you must book a 'Glazing session' here https://shawstreetpottery.ca/collections/shaw-street-pottery-studio-services/products/glazing-service
As sufficient training and experience is required to use the studio without a teacher to guide you, please email us an overview of your pottery credentials/experience before booking your session.
-Proof of latest vaccination (3rd or 4th) is required for all studio users. Please email your certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org once your booking is made - thank you!
